Short stories
Angel
- a dark anti-fairy tale about the poor choices made by an angel in love. Published in Midnights. Pretty good for a first attempt at writing something else than poetry though there is certainly room for improvement.
The marvellous adventures of Edwin and Rufus I, II, III.
- a set of short stories about a child and his trusty toy dog and their adventures in the boys imaginary world. Cute, sentimental and harmless at first glance, but ripe with subtle allusions to physical and emotional abuse on closer inspection. (For those in the know it’s not hard to guess it’s heavily based on Eskil’s own experiences as a child.)
Midsommar
- a short story about a young man getting lost in the forest during midsummer night in Sweden. Folklore mixed with romantic descriptions of nature and fairy-tale influences.
