”Where you gonna run to now little brother?” That ever mocking voice asks. Those ever judging eyes laughing at him.
Eskil tries to look away but finds that he’s frozen in place, unable to move. “I’m not running.”
“Oh but I disagree,” a wolfish grin on Egon’s lips, “you always try to run and hide, though you never really succeeded at that now did you? We always did find you and you always got what you deserved.”
“You haven’t found me this time, and you won’t.” He tries to defy him - easier said than done.
“I have though - I’m right here, am I not, dearest brother?”
Eskil tries to close his eyes, tries to wake up - and fails. “No, this is just a dream.”
“Perhaps so, but I am right here,” a touch to his temple that he cannot move to avoid, “in your head. And you can’t run from me here - you can’t hide. And I can see everything! All your dirty little secrets brother - who knew you were such a perverted little thing? We could have made use of that you know, you sick puppy.” A laugh and a hard slap across his cheek.
He grits his teeth. “Get out. I’m not your god damn puppet anymore. Get out!”
“Oh, little doggy barks so loud nowadays. Thinks hiding in a cave and fooling around with another sick puppy could change anything.” Egon shakes his head and smirks. “But I guess the other dog got bored, hmm? Of course he did, you never knew how to play - never really understood the rules. And now you’re hiding in a tiny cottage in a Marsh? You’re pathetic!”
“Shut the fuck up or I’ll shoot you again you fucking bastard!” There’s not much to his threat - he still can’t move.
“My, my,” Egon chuckles, “are you gonna bark all day little doggy, or are you going to bite?”
Suddenly he’s no longer frozen and Eskil lunges at his tormentor - only to fall right through him.
Egon’s loud laugh rings out. “Don’t you get it? I’m untouchable. You on the other hand...”
~ Eskil bolts upright in bed before the blow can connect.
