The Basics
Full Name: Eskil Viktor Douglas
Aliases: Esse, The little Swede, Count Douglas (not so much an alias as it is his title and last name)
Birthday: June 6
Chiropteromantic Sign: The Spider
Age: 24
Additional Physical Description: Handsome - though more cute than stunningly good-looking due to his boyishness. Unscared, long runners legs, thin but with a nice enough set of muscles to not seem skinny. Curly hair that isn't always the easiest to tame.
Distinguishing Features: Nothing in particular except perhaps his height and his cute smile.
Manner of Movement: Normal. Perhaps not an epitome of grace but hardly a blundering fool. Can move with great speed if necessary and is a very graceful runner. A good dancer.
Physical Health: Usually pretty good. Strains and aches from exercise isn't exactly uncommon. Suffers the occasional migraine.
Mental Health: Stable enough most of the time though he suffers nightmares on a regular basis. Occasionally has a hard time dealing with the memories of his surface life and coming to terms with his own identity. Anxiety issues.
Positive Traits: Friendly, polite, kind, determined, loyal, caring, innocent
Negative Traits: Inexperienced, stubborn, soft-hearted, self-doubting, naive, innocent, overly apologetic
Quirks and Habits: Scratches the back of his head often. Usually when he's feeling nervous, shy or just a bit uncertain of the situation he's in.
Vices: Smoking, drinking
Likes: Kindness, helpfulness, new things, anything athletic, dancing, good coffee, rum, wine, taking long strolls, fashion, books, poetry, chocolate, cake
Dislikes: Rudeness, hurting others or being hurt by others, the dirty politics of high society, bad coffee, raisins.
What are your primary focuses, in terms of the four main stats?: Persuasive, due to being ridiculously cute, and a fair bit of Watchful, since he's used to navigating the upper circles of Swedish society and keeping a close eye on things deemed "useful" information.
What are your weaknesses? Do you have a ‘Dump Stat’?: Isn't particularly fond of violence and dislikes the notion of having to fight, so Dangerous is yet to be a mostly unexplored field for Mr. Douglas.
Allies & Associates: Karin Adelswärd, his loving cousin.
Pets Animal companions: Peony the cat, Bean the almost kitten and Bellman the raven.
Enemies: His family in general, his brother Egon in particular.
Ambition: Create a new comfortable and meaningful life for himself in London.
Other Goals: Keep getting his works published. Stay safe, sane and in one piece and hopefully be able to help his friends do the same.
Finance: Very well to do, money isn't a concern
Residence: A comfortable townhouse at Dacre Street 11
Notable Possessions: No.
Favoured Weapon: Weapon?? Do I have to fight? Excellent with a rifle since he used to hunt with his father.
Combat Style: He hasn't fought so it's hard to say. He is quick though with lots of stamina, and pretty strong - but he would most likely try and run away.
Life Before London: A well to do young landowner and nobleman who was pushed around, used and abused by his own family.
How did you Fall?: After a short visit to London orchestrated by his brother to find their cousin, Karin Adelswärd, and persuade her to let go of her family estate young Eskil Douglas found that the Neath had much to offer. Freedom, a family member who didn't despise him and the love from the sweetest man alive made him realise he had to break free from his surface life. It proved to be difficult and dangerous, but he escaped.
A Brief History of Life in London: Was sick upon his return to London and stayed with Becquerel who nursed him back to health. Bought himself a nice townhouse and started hanging out with Bohemians a bit due to his love of poetry. The relationship with Becquerel ended (a break up the young Swede took quite badly) and he stayed for quite awhile in his cousin's marsh cottage. Returned to London proper. Had quite a few horrible nightmares. Had a short lived fling with a surfacer who's the brother of one of his bohemian friends. Fell for a Miss Beauvais. Died due to poisoning not long before the Feast of 1893. Is starting to make a name for himself as a writer. Broke up with Miss Beauvais - a mutual decision since they both decided they're better off as friends in the long run. Entered his first set of shroom-hopping races and won one of them.
Hobbies & Interests: Running, swimming, exercising, reading (poetry as well as other things), writing, story telling, playing the piano
Talents: Athletic and flexible, can do back flips, cartwheels, handstands etc. Plays the piano relatively well. Tells a good story - though is not yet comfortable enough to do that in public. Excellent at reciting poems. Potential for becoming quite the poet. Makes a great cup of coffee. Knows how to hunt Surface game, though that might be quite irrelevant down here.
Un-Talents: Horrible cook, terrible at estimating time - thinks everything takes much longer than it actually does which means he is usually too early for things and has to wait which annoys him since he isn't a very patient man.
Education: Formal schooling
Languages: Swedish, English, German, understands French and speaks it - though not very well, some Latin.
Family: His cousin Karin Adelswärd lives in London and is one of the most important persons in his life. They are very close now after having been apart for so long. Back at the surface lives his brother, who wants him dead, and his mother who's always hated him for "ruining her life".
